All you hear now is my gun is patterned to 70 yds or dropped

Em at 60 yds. Gun and ammo companies are constantly using it as a marketing tool. Does anyone rely

on calling or woodsmanship anymore? I want that tom in my face screaming and I want to hear him

Spit and drum also!

The beauty of it all is to have the option and do it just the way you like it.

Then again a lot of situations are different. Knowing the effective range of your weapon is key!!

I guess I see both sides!   Just be ethical damn it!!

guys are more concerned with dense patterns up close to not cripple a bird.

If they can get good patterns at 50 , shooting them under that stones them.

unless missed, very few birds walk away from the new loads .

Years ago many birds were lost to guys not having as good a pattern even shooting them very close  and only getting a few pellets in the head and neck

All the guys I know want them in their face too, thats the biggest part of the fun

Bingo, in your face is the only way. The birds i shoot are close enough to drop clean with trap loads
