As I'm staring at the ass end of that herd, 2 doe snuck in behind me. Had them at 22 yards and was drawn back twice, but neither gave me a shot. The area they passed through is pretty thick. Dammit

It is a good spot. Small private piece I hunt and allow a buddy of mine to hunt it with me. We have a few stands set up on it and have access to the neighbor's property as well. We both usually take a few deer off of it.

 

There used to be a group of people who hunted it and they killed everything that moved. They got kicked off of it. We have had access to it for 5 years and the herd is coming back and some nice bucks are running around up there again.

 

I'm going to try to sit 1 more time, probably Saturday afternoon.
