BEWARE FREEHOLD DODGE ????

My wife dropped off her car the other night , I had called early to make the appointment and tell them what the the issue was. She also had a slow leak in rear tire. Service writer was rude and short with her, asked for the vin# which he went out and got off the car, he logged her in and was asked to sign a paper with no info on what she was signing (mistake #1) She was contacted the next day the service writer stating she needed $2500 in repairs and car was out of warranty!!!!! It’s a 2015 . I then contacted the dealer & spoke with the rude service writer.  I, not being the original owner found out the car was registered in October of 14’ so it’s 3 year coverage was up , ok no problem , this I understand. Repair prices were ridiculous for two lower control arms and 2 hub bearings so I told him ‘fix the flat and wrap it up I’ll do the rest myself. ‘

Here is where the problem begins ... she picks the car up after work , she’s escorted to the cashier where she’s told to pay $140 dollars !!!!!!!   WTF , did she Break something on the way in .

She pays it not knowing if I approved something over the phone, she then asks if the tire was fixed for that price , after a volley of answers from everyone rushing out the door , a snide comment was made by the original writer ‘No , your husband said he was going to fix it and to wrap it up, there’s enough air in there’ ..... tire was flat and the lights shut as she left the door.

Back to first mistake SHE WAS NEVER TOLD THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY AND MADE AWARE OF THE CHARGES FOR DIAGNOSTIC!!!!!!!! If that was explained we would have never wasted their time or ours , I went there today, spoke with the SVC Manager , I made no progress in pointing out the unprofessional business practices. He chalked it up to miscommunication and swore how his writer ALWAYS EXPLAIN to the customer if their car is out of warranty before we take it in.  My wife left in the rain and dark , she drove to the nearest gas station with the flat to fill the tire enough to get home. I didn’t get anywhere being a gentleman so I’ll slander them in the cyber world

BUYER BEWARE  , bunch of crooks , I just read their Facebook page and see they have quite the fan club  Bunch of Scum Bags

thanks for listening

My dad purchased a dodge nitro from them years ago. At the time, I was a mechanic for GM. I told him of some problems he was having with the radio and inside trim. He brought it to Freehold Dodge and explained to them when the vehicle was only a few months old and still in warranty. They wouldn't fix it telling him it was normal operation. Well just out of warranty a few years later the radio gets worse and the trim breaks off. They refused to fix it. Stay away

And people wonder why foreign cars with 10 year 100k mile warranty's sell so well.  My neighbor had the same experience with them, and his Duwrongo only had 70k miles.  His wife got stuck on 33 with 3 kids in the car in early January right after picking the car up from the dealer.  The "problem" they fixed was never fixed.

Flemington Dodge has about the best service I have used.

294,000 on my Ram ( which has the million mile warranty) never an issue with repairs being made under that warranty.

and a loaner car ( part of the warranty) makes drop off and pick up simple

Dealers are my best friend. People take their cars there for an oil change and leave with, quite literally, estimates for thousands of dollars worth of work. They come to me and I fix what really needs to be fixed and sort out the fact from fiction. There is something very wrong with a system where the mechanic, the service writer and the dealer all make money by upselling and a system where a mechanic is encouraged to, and makes more money by, hurrying and cutting corners.

Only reason I went there was cause I thought it was going to be under warranty , I do all my own repairs , my issue is not being told immediately after running my VIN that it wasn’t going to be covered. They stand in front of you with their heads down typing for 10 minutes with no conversation but instead be a nasty azzhole.

Spread the word , it’s my only vengeance, to many customers to rob to worry about my little problem.  I even told the manager, I’m not unreasonable, I’m aware that this all costs money, your new building , fancy uniforms & coffee makers but $140 dollars I’m ok with half ...... he then offered to work with me on the price of repairs , I said do them for half , that is where we parted ways.
