Union county deer hunt

I walked the park across from Union County College on Tuesday.  A big sign said Park CLosed Monday 1/8 For Deer Hunt.  I walked the whole property and there were no tracks in the snow at all, deer or hunters.

I lived in Union and used to hang In Rhodes woods and fish surprise lake and lake Lenape and also used to ride my dirtbikes behind the white factory and we used to see some slammers. From what I've heard it's not that easy to get on that hunt unless you know somebody or your extremely lucky. I wouldn't mind to get to hunt those pieces they are loaded with deer and nice ones.You would be surprised at some of the urban deer I used to see in Union in the woods sling the Rahway River and a bunch of other spots.
