Offshore Seabass trip

Went on a offshore seabass trip today. We left at 11pm last night and got back in at 6:30pm. Long cold trip. Was 23 degrees when i headed to the boat and ended the day fishing in a light snow.

 

Fished with a couple of friends Cliff,Eddie, Jim and Freddy. We all caught a fare amount of seabass, porgy, bluefish, eels and dogfish. Cliff had the biggest seabass in our group around 5 lbs. Pool winner was a almost 6-lber. There was only one Cod caught but was big 35-40 lbs Whigs took the overall pool.

 

Was a good trip over all even with the cold. Started out rough on the way out but got nice and flat by the end of the day.

Yeah I wanted to get up there but my wife was able to cancel our hotel room.

Yup beat and my back hurt from standing at the rail all day. Can't believe I'm still awake. Over tired I guess.

Yeah man I know the feeling! Winter fishing trips knock the hell out of you. Usually my face is on fire after getting back in a house with heat and I crash hard! You’ll sleep good tonight!

 

We are staying up here. Definitely smart especially with the conditions and allows for some drinking! [emoji4]

Great job buddy! The bonus is fishing in the frigid conditions is that you don't need a cooler packed with ice !
