Thoughts on the "protracker" for bow hunters

The concept is clever, but it looks way too bulky and wonky.  If they could get it down to something tiny, I'd consider using it (provided the cost isnt prohibitive).

Speaking of tracking devices, anyone remember these? Anyone ever use it?

When I went for my bow test a long time ago one of the instructors had this.

I wouldn't but anything on my arrow or bolt that could possibly impact flight.  Besides the $600 price tag, you have to carry more shit into the field every time you hunt?  Forget it....

 

I kind of feel like tracking and recovery (or in best case just walking over to where you saw or heard them drop) is part of the accomplishment anyway....
