Hidden Falls

Took my wife for a hike through Stokes today.  The water was flowing good over Hidden Falls.

There's a small unmarked trail off of Mountain road half way between Tillman's Ravine and Buttermilk Falls that leads up to the falls.  If you didn't know it was there you would walk right past it, hence the name.      

 

It's also known as Silver Spray Falls.  

 

I took her to Gyp's afterwards.  She informed me that I will never take her there again.

Ok yup I guess I have that's why there hidden. I was at Hemlock Pond this morning.

No, just walking.

 

We're going again next Saturday with a small group if anyone is interested.  We're meeting at Buttermilk Falls.

I saw some turkey but pretty far back. Right on the trail

Was up that way today, car ride with my wife.  Saw a lot of deer and turkeys and one porcupine.

Yeah the falls are flowing nice with all the rain that we've had.  That's Buttermilk Falls, that's where we parked to start our hike.

We will be hiking from Buttermilk Falls to Hidden Falls again this Saturday at 10:00 if anyone is interested.  Then we are heading over to A & G Tavern, the old Layton Hotel, for lunch.
