Is anyone else having trouble finding birds in the black river WMA or any other ones? I’ve gone out each stock day so far and put in the work but only seen 5 birds and maybe 10-15 have gotten taken. The numbers fish and game put out don’t seem to be adding up. A lot of the guys keep saying they can’t find birds either and have been going home empty handed like myself.

We headed up to a private club up in Sussex and I was able to get my girl on her first pheasant and the guys shot em up like always! Goodluck to all the bear hunters out. We are all sitting now, 1 bear down already👍

Hey everyone.... heading to my in-laws in Freehold for Thanksgiving this year and was hoping to get out early Thursday morning for some pheasant. I'm not familiar with the WMAs near there, but Assunpink & Colliers Mill are the closest to them. Recommendations for where to go in those areas, or another area that would be good? Hunterdon County semi-wild hunting club is looking for a safety oriented bird hunter. The club releases 500 birds over 17 stocking dates on our 143 acre property. We maintain a small roster of 16 members and requires a few work days each spring and summer to cut wood, help groom trails and post the property. We are looking for an enthusiastic person that loves bird hunting, enjoys camaraderie with a great bunch of guys and most of all is a safe hunter. It is preferable that you have your own bird dog. Hey all.... heading out for a pheasant hunt in the upcoming weeks. I'll be going to one of the northern WMAs, so either Black River, Clinton, Flatbrook, or Delaware Water Gap. Any advice on which is a better spot than others? I'm familiar with Black River & Flatbrook, but not the others. Thanks for your help.

Had and awesome trip phesant hunting, went out for couple of hours. Killed a couple birds each. No misses on the day, Made a video from the trip. Hope ya like it!!!
