Didn't want to hijack the bear post, so here is another. Would like to do a father & son hunt and prefer deer. Looking to avoid planes, if possible. Older son is graduating college this weekend and younger son is 16, so looking to create a memory. Thanks for any help and info.

Hey everyone, hope y’all are enjoying your Thanksgiving. Let me start by saying I’m new to bow hunting, and hunting deer for that matter. I was curious because I was not sure if I was correct on the end dates for hunting. My understanding was that after this past weekend, my fall bow permit is over and I am not allowed to hunt again until the 6 day firearm season. If someone could help confirm or correct my understanding that would be much appreciated by a new hunter. Thanks again everyone, and have a safe and happy holiday.

Anyone know of any certified butchers that are allowed to donate a harvested deer? Was looking to help out and donate to an affiliation like HHH. I am located in the Howell area.

Even though it was a warm afternoon , decided to give it a go. My brother scored on this 8pt tonight. Grim reaper broad heads did the job. Deer dropped within 25 yards. Bring on permit season. This warm weather has been crazy lately.
