After taking a break from bow hunting decided it was good conditions to try for the best buck I had on cam all season. Well it all came together around 4pm on Thursday of 6 day with cold windy clear weather after all that rain. Had this guy at 8 yards slight quarter to angle and I was 22’ above. Found the right entry point to pull off a double lung. Ran 40 and dead in 10 seconds. 20 2/8” inside spread and 190# dressed. The body on this guy always impressed me more than his rack. Was able to use all around shotgun buck tag for first time on bow kill. Saved my permit tag but now I am really really done so will eat that one. No room in freezer or the wall. Long ass grind of a season with lowest buck inventory I ever seen in 20+ years.
Thanks for looking. Till next season!
