  1. We had a great time out, not a lot of people like you said however I felt the roosters where HUGE this year compared to others. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Was it just us or was that some of the biggest cock birds? We hit our limit and thought we where shooting flying turkeys! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I’ll have all 3 dogs out in Forge and a few other places, good luck to all Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I have a Garmin Astro 330 with a DC 40 collar in great shape for sale. Comes with everything you need plus I bought the new maps already and extended gps antenna. $450 for the bundle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. That’s great! It sure does get warm fast after walking so much this time of year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. I have a form that shows the 7 counties he’s working in. I believe Burlington, ocean, Monmouth are the closet 3 from me but I’ll double check Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. As of right now no, reason being is the habitat isn’t quite there yet. We need to help establish better habitat first before we can bring wild Pheasants in. Can’t move into your house while it’s being built right, essentially the same principle with wild birds. I know our farm bill biologist and the state are rolling out a program to bring wild quail into certain areas. There’s a lot of information on this program now if you’re interested in learning more. This is a great start honestly because better Quail habitat means better Pheasant habitat as well Sent from my iPhone using Tapata
  8. That’s great news! Do you happen to have Austin the farm bill biologist email address? If you want to pass his information along he can explain the programs offered Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That’s one of the 7 counties the biologist is working in down south, however that is the South Jerseys chapter location. I will relay the message to them about your interest in this WMA’s. Thank you for the input! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Right now the PF/QF farm bill biologist is working with local land owners on habitat improvements and working with state and federal programs that could possibly help aid in this. As far as public right now we’re trying to plan on doing some habitat work on our local WMA’s, we will look at them and talk with the NJDFW and see where the most help is need and most beneficial. The state has LOTS of WMA areas and it’s almost impossible for them to maintain them for healthy wildlife habitat, Id personally like to first work on the Manahawkin WMA as I feel it has lots of potential but that’s jus
  11. Thank you Dan, pleasure meeting you as well! We will be in touch about future events/meetings and our first banquet Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Hey Mink, We’re operational now and our first event was a great success for telling everyone our mission. We where out this weekend at the NJDFW Outdoor expo in Colliers Mills with the QF/PF Farm Bill biologist speaking with private land owners about habitat improvements. We’re working on scheduling a quarterly meeting soon that we will have open to the public. Any questions please feel free to email me [email protected] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Welcome to the great world of upland hunting, I use a vest on some days and a jacket on others. Honestly my vest is my go to, it has a hydro pack that holds a ton of water for me and the dogs along with plenty of pockets. I fit EVERYTHING I need in this vest and still have extra pockets haha. Unfortunately I just looked all over Cabelas website and it doesn’t look like they carry it anymore. Here is something comparable from LL bean but no hydro pack Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I have a few separates depending on what I’m doing with my dogs and what dog I’m taking. My main everyday use and hunting collar is the Garmin Upland delta model, I have beepers with it as well but choose not to use them hunting as I find it to be a distraction. I also use the Garmin Astro for GPS tracking which tells me EVERYTHING, I personally love Garmin products. We gave away a sport dog collar at our “Shooting For Habitat” event a few weekends ago and our members seem to love their brand Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Hey guys it’s this Saturday so make sure you went online and got those tickets! We posted tons of sneak peaks of the guns wear raffling off along with pictures of some of our Chinese auction baskets. Going to be a great time so come out have some fun, win some cool stuff while supporting habitat! https://pheasantsforeverevents.org/event/3963 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
