  1. Had a 50/50 chance... I guessed wrong! The ID was easy. These are the ones you see flying low over fields and hovering periodically. Don't see them too often though.
  2. I guess we don't know what we're doing then! Was worred about catching deer. Waited til snow last year and only put snares on trails with only coyote tracks and caught deer
  3. Southern Warren county, more pictures of coyotes than deer. The problem with snaring them is you'll catch more deer than dogs. They run the same trails.
  4. I would guess that someone found this dog by now. GSP's are people dogs. He's probably curled up on someone's couch. I'd start knocking on doors in the area and putting up signs. Let's get this pup home!
  5. My wife saw this on FB. Hope they find him soon. We'd be wrecked if our GSP's were missing.
  6. Wildlife Control Specialists skunks-2.com 1-888-758-6572
  7. I thought they put some tiger muskies in there in the 80's, but I would think they'd be bigger than 19in! We caught a pickerel there for the 1st time a month or 2 ago.
  8. Awesome. I also bowhunt (compound- recurve is crazy impressive!) turkeys without a blind. No better experience than having a longbeard within 10yds and not being able to draw! Using a blind is cheating! Go get him tomorrow
  9. We just finished our safe. All 1 × pine on a 2×4 frame.
  10. Farmer's sportsman in Milford, NJ has one next Sunday. Look them up for the schedule. Lots of shoots in PA. Springtown (10 min across Regielsville bridge) has one 3rd Sunday of the month, all year long. Cloverleaf (outside Quakertown, PA) has one 4th Sunday of the month, I believe. Blue mountian archery league has shoots every Sunday at a few different locations, Leighton area. Plenty of shoots around if you're willing to drive.
  11. I'm assuming all these sightings have been in South Jersey? I haven't seen any here in Warren County yet...
  12. My wife said the same thing, so I took a video the next day. Here's a screenshot. You decide. Looks like half a decomposing doe to me.
  13. Just finished the shoot. Great shoot with my brother and son. Breakfast sandwiches kicked ass too. Get out there now and support these guys!
  14. Every year, last week of the season there are geese willing to work, we do well, and the season's over. I wish they would start the 2nd segment a week later, so we could hunt the last week of January. My area is loaded with geese right now. Next year, I heard the limit will be 2 instead of 3.
  15. 7hrs and 15 minutes from Clifton to Warren County... Rt 80 was F-ed

  17. Our favorite place when we go out to eat, we go there at least once a monrh. Wonderful food, better service. My wife loves the sangria too!
  18. Using a rangefinder before you shoot is cheating! We sometimes range it after the shot if we didn't hit where expected. This is a great shoot. We've been going for years and years. Run by a great group of guys. Don't forget to get a breakfast sandwich- they're the best!
  19. My uncle goes to the Hackettstown auction to get pigeons for his hawk (he's into falcontry) and he gave a few to me to start a loft. Not sure of the process. Another option is to find a barn where they roost and scoop them up in a net. Problem is finding an area where they're low enough to reach. I don't believe Buttonwood has a minimum order. Just give them a call a day or two before you need them and they'll be ready when you get there. They always have good birds.
  20. Craigslist or Hackettstown livestock auction.
