  1. Enjoying the Salt Life! Clams on the half-shell that I dug myself. Gathering and catching your own sustenance. 24 inch Fluke was fun catching myself on light tackle.. It made 3 dives to the bottom after seeing me in the boat with the net. I guess I am pretty scary to potential food. Thankful to live in a land of plenty and freedom.

  3. Well as some of you know I was posting a search for rifled choke for 20 ga Remington for guns I was setting up for my twin grandsons for the upcoming deer season and got a PM from Blackwidow25 who said he had a fully rifled barrel for a 1100 20 ga and wanted to know if I was interested and I pm's him back that I was interested and asked him what was the price. Blackwidow25 said " Just pm me your name and address I’ll ship it to you free I don’t use it any more. It just sits on my Gun rack taking up space. It’s 20ga 2 3/4 with rifled sights on it. If it works for you great if not you can pass it on to someone else who needs it!!" The great guys I meet on this site just continues to prove the hunting community is the best group of individuals in all the US. Blackwidow25 even had one of his employees drop it off at the house.!! THANK YOU Blackwidow25 This will go to grandson Jake and when he grows out of it I will pass it along the same way. THANKS God Bless.

    Cool memory from 2011

I am doing some renovation work at my house and just uncovered this beauty. So back in 2011, a couple of my coworkers took me out for my first ever Turkey hunt. They supplied the spot, the gun, and the calling! I shot my first ever Turkey on public land within minutes of daylight. I shot the first legal bird i saw. It was a Jake, and i mounted the fan and beard myself. Check out the tag number, tag #1 for the state of NJ for 2011. It was checked in at the Gladpack Sunoco Peapack-Gladstone. Thanks for the memories fellas!

  6. I find it interesting that people call out the Trump presidency as a money and power grab for the Trump family. It might have been, but I have yet to see any empirical evidence to support this. I think he's actually losing money and his companies/foundations are all under legal scrutiny. However, if you look at his list of accomplishments, they eclipse any other president (full disclosure, I never voted for Trump...ever). He fulfilled campaign promises and raised the economic tide for a very diverse swath of Americans. I may not agree with how he did it, but it was done. Sure, he was a hothead on social media, but that interestingly had its purposes. The one thing I will grant Trump is that he's a marketing genius. He knows how to seize and manipulate the narrative. He used his social media platform as a distraction to achieve political results. He had people more focused on his Tweets than his political moves, and this gave him the ability to get things done. I referred to it as the Zaphod Beeblebrox effect. Read the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to get the reference, but it is spot on. Trump's failure to get reelected is a clear response from the swamp. Democrats and a good portion of Republicans wanted to go back to business as usual. Joe Biden was business as usual and a comfortable return to the swamp.

Its happening because black community leaders refuse to acknowledge the problem exists or refuse to do anything about. They are concentrating on few black people killed by police while black people are killing each other at an alarming rate of over 80% or about 2,400/year.

  9. I come to the door in my boxers scratching my balls, couching, sniffling, wiping my nose with my hand then reaching out to shake their hand. Most will leave. if they don’t I tell them it’s time to let the pit bulls out to pee. Then close the door and call the dogs.

  13. I agree. This should be data-based and not rhetorical fluff. However, I do direct your attention towards the fallout over the new GA voting laws and the reactions of many very large corporations and brands. They clearly picked ideological sides.

  14. You have this fixation that the Republican Party is focused on corporations. Nothing could be further from the truth. Follow the money. Why are the vast majority of corporations funding Democrats? Cronyism. As the Democrats march more towards government funded [insert anything], corporations who want to be on that gravy train fund their politicians. Cronyism 101. Small players in the competitive marketplace will lose out in this process. Hence why corporations are in the back pockets of Democrats, not Republicans.

  17. I tried making striped bass ceviche Peruvian style this week for the first time. It tastes great and is quick to make, very healthy as long as the fish isn't filled with heavy metals, and low calorie. Amazing stuff. Great with an ice cold beer. -fresh 3/4" cubed fish - jalapenos sliced thinly -julienned red onions -lottsa fresh lime juice -salt -dash of pepper -Boil a sweet potato and cool it down - Fresh corn on cob; best is S. American big-kerneled white 'choclo' type that you can get in places like Paterson, although often only frozen. - toast dried corn in a pan in a little oil with lots of salt makes what the Peruvians call "canchita," which comes out best if you use the special wide Peruvian corn sold in dried bags, again in Paterson. But any good dried corn works Put the cubed fish in the lime juice and throw salt on top for like 2-3 minutes. Throw it in a strainer to get the lime juice out so it stops "cooking" and then put the red onions in it for 1-2 minutes. Pour off lime again and hold if anyone wants more gravy. The lime juice turns milky white. Sprinkle sliced or diced jalapeno all around and place the fish and onion mix on a slice of lettuce with the corn on the cob and cold sweet potato next to it.

  20. Remington 12 gauge 870 Wingmaster Pump with a 30" full choke barrel, high gloss finish. Still in my safe, never selling. Never forget my 1st rabbit taken with the 870....3 shots as fast as I could pump. We walk up on the rabbit and my Dad looks it over for a good 5 minutes......Says, "congrats on your 1st rabbit...Not 1 pellet in it, must have died of a heart attack hearing the shots"

  36. Marxism, or Marxist communism, refers to classless, stateless social organization based upon common ownership of the means of production and to a variety of movements acting in the name of this goal which are influenced by the thought of Karl Marx. While you will not find any true "Marxists" in any leadership roles in the US (at least according to Google), you will find Socialists. In fact - Democratic Socialists of America are indeed alive and well in the Democratic party. They don't even try to hide it. DSA members of note that are indeed, in our US House of Representatives: Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez Rashida Tlaib Jamaal Bowman Cori Bush And let's not forget Bernie Sanders - an avowed Socialist but not listed as a DSA member. WHO WOULD SUPPORT THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY????
