  2. My brother called me the other day and mentioned that a friend of a friend was looking to re-home their mini labradoodle. My wife is allergic to most dogs so I have been looking for a poodle mix but haven’t been able to locate any due to everything going on. Plus most poodle mixes are really expensive. Well I was able to adopt Luna today. She is a 5 month old mini labradoodle. So far my older dog Rex the Maltese Shih-tzu mix gets along with her and she loves to play with my two young boys.

    RIP grandpa

not looking for sorrys here. just want to show how my grandpa got me into the outdoors and i will forever appreciate it. no other gift in the world can replace getting someone into the outdoors. and he did it. i still fish to this day because he took me fishing as a young boy. RIP he gave me his fillet knife when he realized i like fishing he gave me his binos when he realized i liked huning and for some reason he gave me his dog tags. not sure and cant rememeber why he did this. my only guess is as a young boy i was into an army phase and he gave me his tags. but i have kept them since

Stopped here on my way home after work just now and see this. ROFLMAO! ** No person was driving it on the roads. I was told inside that the neighbor from next door/adjoining property parks it here briefly on occasion **

  9. Okay, Capt. Assumption, let's look at this objectively: You know these bands if you've ever listened to classic rock. The last bad is a Lynyrd Skynyrd tribute band, Artimus Pyle was their drummer in the 1970s. You would probably recognize most or all of the songs. While there are a lot of people there, it's a fairgrounds. The stage is set up on the far end of a field. You can set a chair up and sit 60' away from the next person if you want (and the feds and Murphy would congratulate you for social distancing so well). And finally, part of your $55 would be going to fuel the local Sussex County economy. Lord knows those toothless bastards could use the money in times like these.

  10. I knew my friend was retiring, just didn't know he was leaving at 0900 this morning. Met up with him at the beginning of our shifts today, and we were laughing about how many calls and chases we have had together over the years. MPD did a great job with the video they posted today. The radio transmission at the beginning was just last week when a stolen was in front of his unit. God Bless in your second life Carmen.....

  12. I'm not going to say totally false, BUT I recommend going to your Orthopedic Doctor and find out the issues. Then go to physical therapy where they will get you stretched out and relaxed. And do the exercises they prescribe. Works wonders.

  21. Yeah for slackers who wait until the last minute to buy tickets. And put it in perspective, you're going to see four really good bands for about 6-7 hours of music. I've seen all of them, and they put on an excellent show. So that's less than $14/band.

  22. True. But my Son wanted me to bring him some Venison Backstraps for dinner the night before I was taking him out for his birthday. He was going to have a $70 Wagyu Steak but still wanted the venison. You can get steak "anywhere" but not a good venison backstrap.

  23. Cameras are an obsession to some. I have quite a few myself and put them in places where you least expect to. Well, I should say I used to. Very rarely, up until I hurt myself and limited my reach, were they over any bait except for the natural bait in the wild or what the farmer might grow in the same type of places Hammer describes. It is nice to be surprised as to what is there in places where many would overlook. Once the season starts things change. The natural world has a way to direct game to their needs. Well, up until baiting became an obsession for some and then the only way for many others. I know guys that travel an hour to bait a spot, take another hour coming home and then going back to sit over it in the evening and most times thinking on the hour ride home they will do it again tomorrow. I'm sorry but to me, that is nuts. Crazy actually. But, whatever floats their boat. No doubt that cameras are fun but that has become an obsession on its own for some who show more pictures of deer on their feet than in the back of the truck. I enjoy seeing what is there, but rarely does it direct the nature of things. And, I liken bait to the drive in theater. The deer know the movie won't start until just after dark. Most times until they get wise to the ruse. You are better off to get them a comin' and a goin' after see n' the nature of things.

  33. Not true, mine fixed my chronic back and neck pain with a single visit. In my 20s and 30s I was having constant issues with lower back pain and neck pain. I went to the chiropractor and he told me to stop wearing my wallet in my back pocket. He was right, I've been pain free for over 20 years thanks to him.

  37. Not true . there are some very good ones . when your back is out of adjustment the longer you wait just stretching etc the longer your in pain . IF you go to a good chiro soon they can get you adjusted in one visit . then keeping stretched out will keep you in alignment . I only go one or two times a year when I throw my back or hips out . Those visits get me pain free in minutes .. problem many have with a chiro is they want them to be magic and just get adjusted and think everything is fine . there are reasons you hurt your back and they need to be addressed so it isn’t constantly out . strong core and lots of stretching can keep you away from ALL doctors most times when it comes to back pain

  42. After reading lots of guys thoughts on not needing or caring about trail cam usage I had the chuckle . don’t see many of those guys posting quality bucks here ( while maybe they have taken some and didn’t show them here ) Limiting a trail camera to just a bait site or mineral site isn’t allowing you to use half its potential. ‘having 1 camera out there isn’t going to give you a total inventory nor a full picture of what you have around . so possibly you tag out on an animal that isn’t half as good as others that are more mature . using multiple cell cams at high use pinch points allows a better inventory as well as understand how deer are entering and leaving your spots . allows for zero intrusion into core areas that if you tried to scout on foot , would more than likely blow a mature deer off the property . they are out there 24/7 gaining knowledge of everyday travels . not utilizing them IMO is just short changing opportunity’s at mature deer , especially in areas with more hunting competition on near by pieces . .

    Cheap trail cameras?

worst thing I found with a lot of the cheap cameras is the amount of game it misses. And you never know unless you put a "good" camera with it. Friends and I have done lots of tests. Last year had a wildgame camera getting like 400-500 a week, not bad right. Well put a Covert on same tree and the covert was getting 1700+ a week Good luck

  46. Absolutely correct. We all go through stages and mature as hunters. What I can say is after this year of mentoring a youth new to deer hunting it reminded me of my first years deer hunting. Being in the tree with him watching the uncontrollable shaking and excitement in his face when tge first deer he was going to try and harvest came into range than the disappointment in the miss tge eagerness to get back out. Than all over again that same excitement and successful harvest the kid was on cloud 9 and it was a 50 lb doe. I think sometimes we all forget about where we started and to a degree blame trail cams but as already said hunting needs to be what you want it to be not what others want.

  47. I agree it could be a great tool if you want it to be. For me, running too many cams becomes a chore like baiting and I stopped baiting for the very same reason very long time ago. I never killed a deer because I saw him on camera. I have taken few over the years but I really never hunted a specific deer. I set up where I do because I know the properties I hunt better than my own house. I simply spent incredible amount of time hunting because I love it and the time invested gives me enough info. I will be running 3 cams this summer on two properties.

  48. Cameras are good to see what's in the area, but even they don't show everything that walks through the area or goes behind the camera. I've never shot a buck in the same place where I had him on camera, that I can remember. I move them all around to watch funnels, old trails that were scraped or rubbed up the year before, etc. Trying minerals this year to get them in front of the camera, but honestly think I did better with watching trails and catching natural movement. Bucks I had on camera in the summer were shot 3 miles away during the season. Never know when a buck you've never seen will come through looking for doe. Habits constantly change, or they wouldn't get big. Nothing replaces following the fresh sign. Take the opportunity when it comes if it looks good to you. That bigger one on camera could be nocturnal and miles away until next summer.

  49. Cams have made me pass more deer and deer I wouldn't have prior to using them for reasons stated. Cell cams have allowed me to pattern and pick the best day for a chance at a particular buck. I keep a couple on bait and the rest on scrapes funnels pinch points etc. It's just another tool in the bag.
