  1. Flight leaves this morning for my son's highly anticipated P&Y sponsored trip to Cedar Vale with the bow. Hoping the birds are gobbling for the youth archery opener, bringing the HD video camera to film. Staying at the lodge at Arrowhead for the week, cannot wait. Will post up pics to this if able to from KS. Thanks to Mark,@Shug for coordinating with P&Y, @Haskell_Hunter for the awesome predator call (that I was driving my dogs nuts with the other night with the yote howls), and @JHbowhunter for the SKB case for Jr's bow... https://thelodgeatarrowhead.com/

  5. We went trout fishing last year. My 9 year old did well but my 6 year old, nothing. So we got her a better pole. Had her casting a small weight in the back yard. Then, dad learned a lesson to get bait well ahead of time. It worked. Today was one of those days to remember. It was a cold morning. Up at 630. Sun coming up, cold breath, hands and feet. I knew things would be interesting but did not expect action from 8AM until 945AM. I didn't even bother, just let the two of them have at it. What a beautiful morning! L caught 5 landed 4 M 2

You’d asked about the trapping down here. It’s made it’s way around already a bit, but I figured I’d share it here for the old trapping crew. It’ll be nice to throttle things up again on land again someday. Did put some effort into the water this year though.

    Tough day on the river

I hit South Branch in the morning catching one and dropping one, either too cold in the morning or who knows maybe its not stocked yet. Then headed for the North Branch ,fish were spread out with the higher water so it was a very slow pick on rapalas until later in the afternoon when I found some fish schooled up. I switched to bait and did good ending up with 23, caught half on rapala and the other half on bait Only seen a few other fishermen all day I also hooked something real big on bait but it threw the hook after 5 minute battle Hopefully the stripers are more forgiving this afternoon

The current LT motors are brilliant, fantastic power and great fuel milage .You can lay down two strips of rubber if that's your thing and still get mileage into the 20's !Not only are they great looking trucks but they are part of Americana , just listen to how many country songs mention them.

  24. The worst part of trucks isn't the vehicle, it's the cult following of the idiot behind the wheel. I love all of the people who bash Toyota and Nissan because they aren't "real" trucks. Most of those guys drive Chevy/Ford/GMC and put the Jap companies down, but don't even own a trailer to pull or if they do, it's a 1500lb landscape trailer. I hate to break it to you, but you don't need a 7L turbo diesel to pull your cub cadet push mower and echo weedwacker around. For the guys who are towing 35ft RVs, big boats, etc, backhoes, car trailers, etc, then yes, your "real" truck is better for th

  26. I always find truck talk funny. You can trash a Dodge, Ford, GMC, etc and while some guys take it to heart, most of the time the owners of those brands take it with a grain of salt. Trash a Toyota and guys that own them act like you just slapped their wife and insulted their first born. I never understood it. I was in the market for a new truck last year. I been a Ford guy for years, but recently had problems with my 2018 F150. Went and test drove a Tundra, and I hated it. Felt cheap, didn't drive like a "truck" in my opinion. Spent a few more dollars and bought a 2020 F150. Drive what makes

    Grenloch lake

Hit grenloch yesterday after work. Cold windy conditions. Had the lake to myself for a while. I had a terrible trout season last spring so I earned the right to type what I'm about to. I Absolutely dominated the trout yesterday lol. Bite was intense. Caught 20 not a typo 2 0. black spinner silver blade with a single hook. I was Casting in just the right spot and working the lure so perfectly they couldn't resist. All 20 safely released. Probably missed another 10 to 15. A guy and his kid showed up and they also got into them. Best action I've had in years. Special thanks to the state for

  32. My opinion comes from me owning "the big 3" and 2 tundras...my f150 had nothing but issues..brake calipers ,window regulators, coil packs, broken spark plugs (done at the dealer).and at 120,000 miles motor took a sh!%..silverado i had lasted 200,000 but with 3 transmissions. This garbage ram i have now.its back at the dealer at least once every 2-3 months...elec brake contols, elec generator, sound sytem, back up camera, tire pressue sensors..etc My 2 tundras other than gen maint ive never had to get anything repaired on them....def the most comfortable of them all.tows my boat the best ,pulli

    Canadian Border ?

Ok I'm just an average guy, so can someone explain to me why the Canadian border remains closed while our border with Mexico is wide open ? I guess all the illegals are covid free ! There's no way our government would allow infected illegals into our country , correct !

I had it in to ford 3 times, always the same...we cant find any problems. Finally when it died on the road they said the reason the never found the issue was that the sensors were bad as well. The only good truck ford ever made was the full size bronco. currently have a 2020 GMC Sierra. Not impressed. It has all the bells and whistles but the 4wd sucks. Turning radius when engaged is horrible ! Had a ram 1500 up until

    For the Toyota mafia

Ill be the first to admit that I love Toyota and have been a huge fan and supporter for years. They’ve failed to stay relevant and competitive and their drivetrain, electronic and suspension technology is a decade behind. There’s no way you can even compare them to the big three for a full size pickup. F150 is like driving a fleetwood brougham. same applies for the Lexus. Ultra luxe interiors used to make it easier to look past fit and finish. But the stripped tech in those cars is like they built in Soviet Russia and everything is an option. a full-size tundra is not why yo

  49. So I guess we should all just sit silent as our 2A rights are under attack. Sit silent as our country is flooded by illegals. Sit silent as cancel culture rages thru our schools. The Left didn’t sit silent for the last four years. I’ll be damned if I will now. They didn’t leave country as was suggested. The past isn’t the problem, it’s our present and future we are concerned about. No need to leave the country. Just work as a group with like minded people to make it what we think it should be. Just like the Libs do. We do need to back up the Freedoms we have and enjoy before they are gon
