I'm really sorry to hear that, SG.  I watched my mother battle it twice and luckily she won both times.  I always fear that a third time could come.  Enjoy the time that you've got with her.  You'll both be in my prayers.

SG, sorry to hear. Nobody is ready for a parent to pass. If you are 80 and they are 100 years old nobody is ready. I don't think there is any way to ever be ready. I am sorry you are going thru this. prayers for you, your mom and your family.
