How many times have you had that "gut feeling" come true

How many times has that feeling we all get worked out for you? With limited time to get on stand and the rut revving up, I have to get out whenever I can. However last night I got my stuff together to get out this morning and could not get the one deer I have been trying to kill for several years out of my head. I might have slept for an hour total, as I did not want to miss the alarm going off.

I may see nothing from the stand, however the thought of not going or sleeping in when I had the opportunity to be in a tree this time of year is not going to happen. Hopefully my gut feeling proves to be true this morning. If not, at least the time in the tree is better than working, and I will not be saying "what if I went" lol. You never know.....

The day I killed one of my biggest bucks Oct 23 2011 I planed on hunting but ended up getting out of work at 345 over an hour late. Do I wrote the day off. On my way home as I passed my spot I could here my grandfather saying get in the stand dumb ass. I did and within 15 minutes I had a beautiful 8 on the ground call me crazy bit he was def yelling at me and I didn't realIze it that day but it was 10 years to the day of his passing. . Not really gut but still along the line

I've had it a few times through the years. The 9 pt I got this year after he busted me in the morning..one morning I had to really push myself out of bed but something was nagging at me to go and got a good 8 and one time after work I felt like I really need to be in the woods and got another good 8.

The buck I shot on October 1st was a gut feeling come true. Winds/weather told me my go to stand would be a bust and that I should hunt my secondary stand. My guy told me I needed to be in my primary stand that day and within two hours I dropped my fall bow buck!

Sat from 630-930 this morning and the anticipation was through the roof........I saw, like my grandfather used to say..........Ugatttzzz!

It was 65 degrees this morning, which may have been a factor. Good to be out and not think "what if" though...

As many times as that "gut feeling" was absolutely wrong. As many times as I had a gut feeling that me big would be there and he was I had that same feeling and saw nothing.

I wonder if deer ever have that gut feeling, "Today I'm going to elude every hunter in the woods".  I think they do, because they do a pretty good with me!

On paper everything is looking real good for tomorrow, my stomach's a little squirrelly but I don't know if it's a gut feeling or the Jambalaya I had for lunch.  I'll let you know tomorrow night.
