Honey burns

So do honey burns work to pull in NJ bears or is this something better served for big woods states?

Sure they work....burn some bacon, not only bears will show up but I will show up as well

I used one yesterday at a bait that I just put out opening day. Bait had no activity all week.Did a honeyburn until

Dark as I hunted. Came back in this morning and lo and behold a bear found my bait last night as evidence by my camera.Not a huge one but he's on it. He came in as I hunted thsi morning. Hopeing he brings a bigger one back with him tonight or tomorrow!

Never did a burn, but I did open up a Dounkin Donuts in the woods

Never done it with honey but have done it with bacon. Just have to simmer it real low so you don't get the grease popping

I tried with two of those sternos or whoever u spell em didn't burn much guessing due to the thicker pan I used gonna get propane small camp stove tomorrow for the am

How well did that burn I used two of those but with a pan and it melted but didn't burn

It took a little trial and error to get it going good. But, I did get it smoking and boiling good. Would have been much better with a small one burner camp stove. Next time that is what I will use.
