jerseyhunter Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 Got this back in the 70's from Either FF&G ,Outdoor life or Field and Stream. Been using ever since. I eat them plain with Backstraps, add to chicken soup or slice and fry the leftovers for breakfast. 5 cold boiled potatoes grated 1 1/2 cups of Flour 2 eggs 1 1/2 tsp salt 1 slice of bread cubed and fried Grate the potatoes ,add Flour, salt and eggs. Knead the dough, add 1 bread cube per dumpling, wet hands and roll egg shaped as big as you like. Boil in salted water 8 min. after they come to the top(about 15 min total) Makes about 12 depending on size. Serves 5-7
