Anyone ever request information on a tagged bear ?

So, the bear I shot had a tattoo in his mouth, number 8484 or 84841, hard to tell.  They told me at the check station that I could request information on him, which I have already done via an e-mail.  Was wondering if anyone has ever requested this information and how long it took for a response.

Allman just posted that he was able to obtain info on his because the biologist at the check station was the one that tagged his bear as a cub..

I saw that.  I asked when I checked in my bear and they told me that I could request the information on-line, so I guess they did not have that information readily available.

I would guess it is up to whoever gets the email if they are not too busy...it would be interesting to see if the state gives any info.

In 2003 I shot a bear here in NJ, back then they took the ear tag # entered it while I was there and gave me information....she was 13 months old, was captured for science not a problem bear, and was trapped one mile from where I shot her

My bear was trapped twice in Walpack, not a nuisance. I emailed them a month or so after the hunt and was told they were busy. I checked back in May or June and got the info.

TroutandBucks shot one last year that was tagged. I think they reached out to him but I can't recall.

I do recall them telling us that it was a category one nuisance bear at the time at the check station
