its fall and i filled my fall bow tag. that means by tradition, i treat my self each year to a new gun. with my interest this year in pheasant hunting i am in the market for a side by side 12 gauge. can anyone recommend one i should take a look at? i know these shotguns can get pricey. my budget is definitely $1000 or less. but would like to spend somewhere between $700-$900 out the door all said and done. or am i dreaming? kype

All of the above are fine recommendations, but to be honest, I'd consider a 20 gauge instead.  With the right load, you can hit anything a 12 can, it's generally lighter in weight and can be used for quail, chuckar or grouse if you ever have the chance.

CZ if you can find anyone that has any, heard they are not making certain models. I know you are asking about 12 ga but I have a CZ Ringneck sxs in 20 ga and love that gun, carried it for many years in SD and running hounds hear in NJ. Good quality and great shooter, wish I had bought two
