It's more about watching than it is killing. This was taken from my live morning bear hunt today, very good deer action, the best I have seen in my hardwoods in a few years, after last season being a complete waste of time. Several young bucks chasing a doe, some sparring, some scrape making, and lots of acorn munching. Watched this guy eat acorns all around me for an hour, then watched him make this rub for 10 minutes. Very interesting behavior, as several times he scraped tree with front hoof, and often was licking and eating the tree.  Also a decent size tree and rub - the kind that would have made me think "wow, a big buck probably made that rub..." Well a big buck did not make it, just this 1.5 year old 4pt.

It's funny you say that.  I was out the other day and saw lots of deer but never even thought about picking up my bow.  It's so much less work when you don't shoot something.     :)
