Just a heads up if you hunt near Washington twp, (Morris county). Trail camera stolen and straps cut on climbing sticks and ladder stand. Police were notified and a report was filed.

That stinks but you did the right thing. Any suspicions? Anti, or angry local hunter?

I hope whomever owns the camera wrote down the serial number or at least registered the camera with the vendor when they bought it.

I was actually thinking today about creating a "hunting stuff stolen" website so people can post pics and serial #s of gear that's been vandalized and stolen.

People have no respect sometimes.

My friend got hurt a few weeks ago some slime ball cut his straps 3/4 of the way through and he ended up cut and bruised real bad but it could have been a lot worse i saw him today he is doing better know. But damn why such savages are among us stealing and trying to even kill or hurt us is Disgraceful. But they are out there so we need to remember to be thorough wherever we hunt private or public before we go up in a tree or do really anything hunting related..

Have my suspicions on who it is and Moultrie has been contacted. Worse yet, if i walked in for a morning hunt I may not have seen the straps cut.

Wow that's really crappy! Glad the police are involved and more importantly you weren't hurt climbing that stand! Good luck I hope they catch whoever it was!

It can't be a coincidence that straps are being cut to injure or even kill someone. I believe it to be the work of Anti's. They must be telling other members how to do this.

Could be Antis could also be the work of another (low brow) hunter jealous of encroachment - a Stanley knife is cheap, easily concealed and effective.
