At 8:45 AM I lost my very best walleye lure. I named bertha with over 20 paint jobs and too many hook replacements to count  not to mention walleye tooth damage met her  demise. From a lean musky roughly 36" in a hole I never saw a musky in before. Enclosed is a picture of the last walleye caught by bertha she will be missed, Services will be held on the flat rock Thursday morning next to the back eddy where the eagle eats the chubs I give him.

Sorry to hear that. Catch a few and bring them over to Stokes where i will be tomorrow for 3 days. Fresh walleye over the fire sounds good

I will try to get a few keepers that would be excellent over the fire.

Sounds like you've got a boatload of good memories with Bertha.  Remember all the good times as you morn her loss.

The best remedy is to get back out there and get a new Bertha and start making new memories.
