I was lucky enough to take this beautiful Piebald today. I'd seem em' earlier in the day when I went out to check trail cams. It was feeding this morning in a field where I've got a lock on adjacent an oak and cedar thicket that borders the field. I jumped into that stand for an evening sit. Got on stand early at 2:45. I didn't have to wait long. The piebald entered the field directly across from me and made a bea line for the oaks behind me. It closed the distance to 8 yards and was going to pass through the thick field edge almost under me. I figured if I didn't shoot then, I'd lose the shot oppurtunity because I had no shots to my rear in the thickets. I drew, anchored and settled then loosed my arrow. The piebald was quartering to a bit hard but the shot was good. The deer bolted into the thicket and (because of the white coloring) I could see it fall within 50 yards. I've been carrying a bow into the woods nearly every year for almost 40 years and this is the first piebald I've ever seen while hunting. Saying a big thanks to the Man upstairs for this experience.

This doe has given birth to three piebald fawns but, they have all disappeared over the last few years. The doe is still around. I have a recent trail camera of her.
