So the other week I learned a hard lesson not to trust cables on a used hang on that you buy off somebody!

With that said, does anyone know where to buy new sets of cables for a hang on? I found one website but it will take several weeks to get them and I would not like to wait that long..

I would think you should get them from the manufacturer (if available).  They are probably made to fit a particular stand.  I remember replacing them on my Gorilla stands years ago and ordered them from Gorilla at the time.  Don't think I can get them anymore.

I recommend a replacement set of cables that are specific to that stand, like said above... Otherwise invest in a new stand while waiting for the replacements to arrive.

There are several quality hang on stands that are less than $50 brand new.

Worth every penny. Especially hearing of the several stand fails this past week alone....Be safe!

Most companies are moving away from selling replacement parts for liability reasons. It's a shame. I called Millennium recently and couldn't get a real person, but they had a canned message repeatedly tell me they won't sell parts.
