"I wanna know who's got the ground blind on the edge of it with bait before I decide to hunt in front of you"    LOL - this sounds like a NJH post bro!

if they are legally hunting, and you have legal access to hunt connecting piece, better to try and find out who it is and work together.   If you can't - at least give them 100 yards and maybe you can use their bait pile to your advantage. I would never set up that close to someone, I would not enjoy my hunt at all and not fair to them provided they are legal. (and there first).

Which side of the hill are you on?  I just rode through there is past Sunday and saw some does crossing the road at the state line at rt. 521.  Clove Road has some nice land, all private, but probably loaded with bruisers.  I've never hunted the park up there, but I'm sure that the deer get pushed down to Clove Road and probably over to River Road too.

Audeamus.

it's gonna be my first sit up there I just didn't want to step on anyone's toes

Believe it or not - a very small percentage of NJ hunters are on these hunting websites... The odds of them being on here or NJH are slim to none...

I'm confused, someone is already set up to hunt there and your plan is to "not step on toes", but you're going to setup and hunt it and "decimate the herd" and "leave a gut pile"?

I have to think you're joking, otherwise that's pretty messed up.

This does sound like an NJH topic trying to cause some unneccesary drama.

If there's some merit to the story, why not just talk to the guy and work out an agreement between hunters to hunt different areas versus being on top of each other.

No reason you both can't enjoy the woods and get some deer for the freezer.
