I don't disagree with you, but there is always the exception to every rule.

A guy I know sat in the same stand every day of 6 day without seeing a single deer.  He stayed in his stand from first light until dark Monday - Thursday.  Thursday night everyone was telling him he was crazy if he hunted that stand again, but Friday morning he climbed right back into the same stand.  Mid-morning he killed the biggest buck of his life, a 157" 10 pointer.

Back in the 50's my 2 Uncles hunted on NAD Earle. Sat in the same stands for the week and saw nothing. On the last day one of them decided to move locations and the other told him that he should stay, that his stand was in a good spot. He didn't and so the other one moved to his stand. Shot a NJ record typical with the bow that held for quite a few years. I don't know the exact year and can't seem to find the old records on line but here is a picture taken 5 years ago, so the mount was about 60 years old.

I thought, growing old would take longer !

I spent most of my money on shotguns and fly rods.  The rest I just wasted.

Yep, they could be skirting right around you. A small move could put you on top of them. My problem is when i zig they zag.

Let the lead fly!!!

I have no choice now, knee brace keeps me from climbing the mountain where I was hunting, so have to get to flat land...getting old sucks

I hear you Chef.

I agree....On six day you sometimes see bucks that you never see all year, deer that are pushed from other properties.

I always like to hold onto what i think may happen to come my way...some years i get nice surprises and some i eat tag soup.

Change is always good too.
