Watched Sasquach last night on outdoor channel. He was in Alaska hunting Caribu with a Hawken, he was holding the muzzy by the barrel and walking through the alders and he apparent had the nipple capped. An alder branch cocked back and sprung the hammer and boom. Blew off his pinky finger!

Wow. Glad they actually aired that. People need to see the stupidity sometimes to realize that it really can happen.

I actually like that show. Suppressed he was that careless.

They showed the incident and the gun going off. But cut to the hospital (after being evacuated170 miles) Lucky the camera man wasn't a bit closer or he'd have gotten the ball. They showed pics of his hand and post surgery. He's only got 9 fingers now. Just goes to show the authenticity of that particular hunting program

I was unemployed for 18 months back in the early 2000s. There were a few months where bathing and general personal hygiene were optional.

i give him credit for airing an episode about this experience. hunting shows used to be educational. now they are just product promotion.  i would rather have the show make hunters think about gun safety or how to hunt an animal than what bait to sit over.
