Friggin wasp or hornet got me!!

Went out to shoot my bow to make sure it was still on, I'm running behind on this hunting thing! ???? Anyway I was shooting into some styrofoam and apparently some wasps or hornets made a nest in it and my thumping pissed them off!!!!???????????????? . Well, one of the rat bastids got me on my right hand, happend at around 3 and now it's 9 and it still hurts like an ice pick is being jabbed into it!!!

Oh man I know how that feels. I got stung by a hornet when I was a kid, got me in my shoulder, felt like a nail was being hammered into me. It could also of been a yellow jacket, they are pretty aggressive.

Ive seen the yellow jackets do nest in the blocks before

Yeah, sounds like a wasp sting.  It'll hurt like hell for a couple of days.  I usually get reminded every couple of years while cutting the grass.  They'll nest in the ground or in a rotting log.  You never see them until you feel the pain.

 

The best fix for nesting wasps is a skunk.  They are significant nest predators and will dig them up at night when the bugs are sluggish.  One nest that stung me was dug out the next day by a skunk.  I couldn't have been happier to have skunks around the house that year.

Man up and take the pain. I'm allergic to the SOB's. White Face hornets got me while I was cutting brush. I got the EpiPen ready, but before I had to stab myself I ate 5 Benadryl. Now picture this.......before the Benadryl took effect I was itching so bad I tore my boots off in the middle of the road and was scratching my feet like they were on Fire. The stings were bad, but not as bad as the allergy.

Only thing that hurt like that for me was a white faced hornet.  They had a nest next to my mailbox and zinged me one day.  Swelled up to about the size of a dime and hurt for hours.  Never had a reaction to any sting before, but pretty sure that was the first time I've been stung/bite by one of them...memorable experience

Got stung by 10 yellow jackets on Labor Day I was all swelled  up......still feels like the venom is in me.......

The pain is nearly gone now, but it's still a bit swollen, I iced it and that helped.

I know the feeling I got hit last year moving a stand.  Hard to believe such a small thing can create so much pain.
