Good luck - you should consider posting in the "live hunt" section and provide periodic updates.

My lab had me up at 4am and I looked at that full moon and said "nope - not gonna waste my time today".   I have decided to limit my early season hunting in my prime spots until I get evidence there is a shooter buck in the area or pre-rut activity gets into high gear.   I have 3 primary areas that I hunt. Z5 Around the house - used to be loaded with doe and bucks with several shooters but now just has a fair amount of young bucks and very  few doe. Several cams running and nothing mature.  Z5 two miles from house gets worse every year - on an observation hunt last night, saw no deer at all, which is what that area has become. It used to be absolutely loaded with deer and everyone I know that hunts that area has given up.  Z2 seven miles from house - tons of deer, both sexes, just no shooters yet but there will be as rut approaches.

Listen, I saw your light and kept moving away.  It was like you were following me.   And now you are sitting in the tree 20 feet from me :whatever:
