Aux Cell Phone Battery

It's that time of year when we all venture into the woods with our cell phones and burn the batteries out hunting Pokémon deer.  One thing I've grown to appreciate is a backup battery in my hunting bag.

$11.99 plus a couple of bucks shipping.  That should fully charge your phone and probably another two phones if need be.  If you have a tablet like an iPad, it'll charge that too.  Fits in your pocket and works with your USB cord for you phone.  You can also get extra charging cords from these folks, and they're dirty cheap.  Lifetime guarantee on all cables, and they stand behind their products.

Thought I'd pass this along for those folks who enjoy the opportunity to sit all day long and keep their phone at a reasonable or full charge.  It helps when you whack that monster right at dusk and need to call folks to help you track/drag.

They have more powerful versions if you plan on sitting in the woods for a week and want to maintain the charge on your phone.  The 10KmAh one is the one I recommend.  I have it and really appreciate that my phone is at 100% charge when I leave the woods.

Sapere aude.

Audeamus.

When you cannot measure, your knowledge is meager and unsatisfactory.

I've been using the Unu cases for my iphone 6s...really since I had a 4s.  They are nice, but I noticed a year later, they don't hold their charge quite as long.  In all fairness, I use interchange two of them, rarely charging my actual phone from a wall, always charging it from one of the cases, so both of my cases have gotten used heavily for about 1+ years now.

This is a good topic..

The Jackery Bar has been my choice for the last three seasons....

Has a built in LED flashlight, the charger itself turns off after the phone is fully charged and will provide 3 full recharges to the iPhone before the bar has to be charged again...

  • 2 weeks later...

I bought one of these.  Decided to charge it up and see what it can do.    I gotta tell you it's the cats ass.  I have charged my samsung  three times, and it/s now on my iphone.  Still going strong.    Its the size of a deck of cards.  Thanks for the heads up.

You can't shoot them from the couch.

I got the GoalZero "Flip 10" recharger on advice of several who have them.  It is about the size of a lighter but twice the girth.  It works great, but I haven't been out hunting yet to use it in a tree.  That all starts for me this weekend.
