im still not sure whats going on with the storm. they said there is a pocket of high pressure that will stall the storm in our area for a little. either way, my generator is ready. will pick up bottled water tomorrow to be on the safe side, and will get anything I can done tomorrow so that sunday I can just relax and enjoy the storm. if the storm comes.

I was thinking of hanging stands and cams on Sunday or Monday if the wind isn't too crazy.  If it's nuts I won't, but it's a good time to disturb an area along with a storm

If I'm up to it tomorrow, I might try to do some of it then.

Coastal areas will be a mess, but inland you won't even know the storm is around.  Unfortunately, we need loads and loads of rain in northwest NJ, but the most I've seen predicted between now and Tuesday is between .25" and .5" of rain total.  I pray the storm shifts west and dumps about 6" on us over several days.  That would be a decent start towards filling our massive deficit in ground water.  Just look at the USGS stream gauges for NJ rivers and streams and you'll be absolutely horrified if you care about our drinking water and our trout habitat.......

We do need a soaker in a big way.  Wanaque reservoir has tall grass growing in areas that should be 5' under water.  Haven't had a decent storm in ages.

  .. Better your area then mine..  The storm is right on top of Va Beach Va at the moment... No big deal.. Just some gusty winds and rain like u might expect from a tropical storm.. Power went out for 5 minutes or so..  Nothing major...

we arnt getting jack because I just changed the oil and filter in generator along with starting it up to make sure everything is fine, and filled all tanks and cans with gas, got plenty of soda, steaks, burgers, 20 some chickens if I get real desperate, sharpened chain saw blades. so yea we arnt getting jack

I'm not worried about that storm.  It shouldn't bother north jersey at all.  South jersey might see some wind, a dash of rain, but nothing to write home about.
