Deer Path Park North section

Recommended Posts

I've always had the best luck hunting the land instead of the deer in those types of situations.  Look for land features that will restrict movement through and around different structures.

I have a great stand at the end of a long ledge that deer can't get up or down for several hundred yards.  Even though there is very little sign there, the spot always produces deer because they are forced to go around the ledge.

Looking at a map of Deer Path Park it looks like there is a lake in the middle of the woods with a stream entering and leaving the lake at either end.  Try starting at the lake and walk the stream in both directions looking for the first deer trail that crosses the stream on either end.  This should be a good funnel.
