So what does your fall hunting season look like?

Recommended Posts

I have been so busy with the fam and other things. I am almost ready to get into the swing of things for the fall season. So what do you guys and gals have planned for this upcoming season?

I have a mule deer hunt in Colorado in September, then coming home to help my daughter take her first whitetail and bear in October, then off to Oklahoma for whitetails at the end of October and finishing up with NJ rut and a bear hunt in NC in November.

SS!

Likewise I've been really busy, haven't done much to get ready for deer season here in NJ.  Going to be doing a major house reno soon, so not sure how much time I'll have afield, but definitely plan on getting some November time out there!  Will get out and set some cams, see what's around! :)

Too hot for me to get amped up for it yet but I do have 1/2 dozen cams out, nothing much on them yet. Been glassing some fields, a few spots on private land have a lot of deer this year but the public land I hunt is still in really bad shape. Might not matter though because I have new opportunities to hunt Maine and Ohio this year so between Maine, Pa and Ohio, I might not hunt NJ much at all.

I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation UNDER GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

My season will be spent trying to sucker Bucksnbows, Little M, and a few others to come shoot deer for me so i don't have to shoot them.

My motto: Why shoot deer when you can get someone else to shoot them for you.   :)

It sounds like everyone is doing exciting things. Once it cools off a littler, hopefully around end of September I'll start sitting out with my bow, but nothing fancy. That being said we're off to Alaska on our honeymoon come Monday and the plan is to bring home a cooler full of salmon.

Can't wait to see the pictures!

I'll try to hit the button this time!

It's amazing how often a case of buck/puck fever can reoccur.  No matter how many times you think you're cured... It can come back in a heartbeat/

Last year when I took the puck, I had all the time in the world, but forgot about the goPro sitting on my 700 and the camcorder the cousin had until it was picture time :-(

Good luck to everyone, everywhere!
