SuperOx Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Stevo, I'm currently in the market for a couple of LPK's for the lowers I'm expecting to get delivered this week. What's your take on the CMMG's? Do they strike you as being a good quality parts kit? Also, since I have 2 lowers coming in I thought I would build 2 different caliber rifles.... Was thinking .223 for the first and maybe a 308 for the 2nd but do you know anything about these 300 blackouts I've been hearing murmurs of? Real nice build by the way, lol

If you want a .308 you will need a .308 lower. The .308 is bigger and mags wont fit in a .223 reciever. Ahh so the secret 300 AAC Blackout eh. lol. My next build. You can take any AR15 .223 and change the barrel to a 300 Blackout. Mags work, bolt works. You get a 30 cal. rifle that has 37% more energy than a 5.56 and matches the balistics of the 7.62X39. It uses less powder so recoil is even softer than a .223. Whats not to like? Sent from my flip phone with the big buttons so I can see them
joedjr Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Good looking gun Steve. Shot my stag today for the first time, open sights out to 50 yards. Did OK. Think I may a scope for it in the near future. That was the first time I shot an AR. Man are they fun to shoot.
