Stevo, I'm currently in the market for a couple of LPK's for the lowers I'm expecting to get delivered this week. What's your take on the CMMG's? Do they strike you as being a good quality parts kit?

Also, since I have 2 lowers coming in I thought I would build 2 different caliber rifles.... Was thinking .223 for the first and maybe a 308 for the 2nd but do you know anything about these 300 blackouts I've been hearing murmurs of?

Real nice build by the way, lol

CMMG is a good kit. Try to get the polished set but either is good. The polished set just has a crisper trigger.

If you want a .308 you will need a .308 lower. The .308 is bigger and mags wont fit in a .223 reciever.

Ahh so the secret 300 AAC Blackout eh. lol. My next build. You can take any AR15 .223 and change the barrel to a 300 Blackout. Mags work, bolt works. You get a 30 cal. rifle that has 37% more energy than a 5.56 and matches the balistics of the 7.62X39. It uses less powder so recoil is even softer than a .223. Whats not to like?

Good looking gun Steve. Shot my stag today for the first time, open sights out to 50 yards. Did OK. Think I may a scope for it in the near future. That was the first time I shot an AR. Man are they fun to shoot.
