  I read about this guy in the late 1970s. Just saw this video. To win that contest- he had to bulk back up to 230lbs at 6'2" . Pretty impressive  feat back in the Golden Era and way before Insulin,HGH,Dozens of different  Types of Steroids that led to that Pregnant look of many pros today with 40"+ waists.

That crossed my mind as well. Probably  being only 28 had something to do with it.
