sandy hook fluke

heading to sandy hook with the kids tomorrow to try some fishing from the surf, going to try the fishing beach with gulp, also throw a rod out with bunker and maybe get lucky with a bass. any tips on fluke fishing from the surf, i only tried one other time.

90% of the fluke will be where the waves crash on the beach, most people over throw them

Yep, don't need to go far. They're right there at your feet. I've caught them literally in the wash. They're out farther too but don't worry if you can't cast really far! Good luck!

Keep you bait moving for fluke. Ie: cast and retrieve slowly. A bank sinker helps so as not to get buried in the sand. With the bunker, use a pyramid sinker to hold bottom. Good luck.
