Hearing Aids and Hunting

I need one of those big dishes you see at the games.  I see people using them to record birds so they must work.  Need one pointing behind me where I can't see or hear them coming.

Have a pair of ear plug type that were my fathers.  He spent thousands for them and never wore them because he said they made everything sound like you were in a tin can.  One of these days I'll see how they work in the woods.

Thanks, They are ear muff type, I cant imagine them being very comfortable to wear all day. 

I have to do something, I can't hear deer or turkey until they are right on top of me.

I only use them for turkey hunting,they would be  hard to wear all day.

I just bought the custom shields. I should be getting them in the next two weeks and will report back. I used a friends alphas last year and they really work well.  I really only want them for the goose blind.

I have used a boom mic on a video camera. Camera on a tripod and head phones turned up. To hear  Gobbles.

Definetly not practical but if you already have it with you...
