Leaving Jersey in the dust again…as NJ state employees are still working from home….Pennsy looks to increase hunting opportunities for license buying constituents!!  
 

Go back to work and do something positive for your constituents!!!

I think that’s this legislations ultimate goal…to give their council authority to schedule seasons to include all Sundays.

Opening more Sundays allows guys who cant get off work to get out more. Im all for it.

Yup.  Anything to offer more opportunity to do the things we love to do would be great if @NJDFW and @NJSFSC would get to work on it!!  And anything to make some headway against the antis who are relentless in trying to take our opportunities away!!  
 

It’s mind blowing we still need to have this conversation at this point in time…if the science of wildlife management is acceptable to it…give us our freedom and privilege to hunt on Sundays like so many other free states!

I used to attend game dinners with the PAGC in PA when I lived there. They constantly reiterated how Sunday hunting would hurt license sales and local economies.

litteraly being 16 years old at the time I still couldn’t understand how.  Especially with the amount of non resident hunters PA has.  That’s an extra day of hotels/air bnbs, gas stations for fuel, local stores for groceries/drinks, restaurants, maybe even a Sunday morning local fireman’s pancake breakfast before going back out for Sunday afternoon hunt. 
 

I don’t think it’s rocket science the longer you stay in a place that’s not your home the more of a need to purchase food, supplies, fuel, etc.

I had a hunting camp in PA for decades and was used to no Sunday hunting. Once we sold our interest there and went to NY 11 years ago, we got Sunday hunting and I love it. The old Blue Laws trying to force people to attend church on Sundays have long since passed their time. Let’s open Sundays for all states, PA and NJ included.

Why hasn’t the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife or any of the sportsmen’s clubs ever tried to work on getting all seasons opened on Sundays?  Just crickets from @NJDFWor @NJSFSC  It is in the best interests of both entities to fight for the majority of hunters who want to hunt all seasons on Sundays.  Sounds like they gave up, quit, or just don’t want to work on it. It should be an annual goal until it gets done.
