Hey Guys;

Is it worth it to wet a line now in the pre-stocking/season ? I looked up the NJ regs yesterday for Trout and says you can fish now , but fishing is paused from 3/17-4/4 due to stocking and season officially opens 4/5- Cant wait!!

I might give it try this weekend if not Tuesdays weather is looking real good to play hooky from work, high of 68 degrees

YES!!   Any day on the water is better than a day not on the water, fish or no fish!

Although last year’s low water impacted holdovers significantly, there are still plenty of stocked trout from last year or longer in the stocked rivers and streams. There are also hundreds of miles of wild trout streams. Just watch the regs as trout season never ends in NJ, you just have to know which waters are open and which are not for the spring pre season stockings.

Lots of fish in our waters, you may have to do more than drop a line off a bridge or stand on the side of the road. I bet you dollars for doughnuts with not a lot of time and a little walking a limit will be caught.

Always a good time of year to fish minus this heinous wind.  I normally do well I march if we get a nice day or two.
