splitrockoutdoors Posted March 7 Posted March 7 (edited) These rifles are discontinued and very rare. There is one available on Guns international in this caliber, and my price is about $1k less than that. Up for sale is a BRAND NEW Sako 85 Safari Deluxe, chambered in .375 H&H. This rifle has never been fired (excluding any factory shots, I believe they shoot 2 rounds for testing), or hunted with in any way. The wood and metal are 100% condition just as it came out of box. Includes original box with instruction manual, sling swivels, etc. I have included a picture with the Specs of the rifle for reference. Recently I have been interested in adding a Sako 85 or two into my collection. This model appealed to me because the caliber is something that I could hunt anything with. After putting more thought into it I think that I will go with a smaller caliber more suited to medium sized game. This is why I have decided to sell this rifle. Can meet at the FFL of your choice in North Jersey for the transfer. Asking $10,000 The included videos have a note on it because this is also listed on an African hunting forum. Silkcitymedic Posted March 7 Posted March 7 Beautiful. What would .375 H&H do to a whitetail or bear? My buddys store has some federal 375 H&H ammo on the shelf in PA if anyone is interested.
Mallard1100 Posted March 7 Posted March 7 What a rifle!! Certainly not the usual jamberg for sale. God luck with the sale!

I have read that you could use solid projectiles in the caliber to hunt smaller game, without ruining too much meat or the hide. I have no actual experience if this is true or not Silkcitymedic 1
Silkcitymedic Posted March 7 Posted March 7 I always find it interesting the calibers I see out in the field. I would see this one older gentleman that hunter bear with a 338 win mag, he said it worked well. I use a .308 and dont feel the need to change.
