With the right mineral mix you can get them to lay it right there.  No hunting required.  Other side was 3 feet away in the dirt.

 

Added this grape stuff I found at TSC this year for first time instead of Grape Koolaid.  Mixed into the blend and also a top shot. The blend is two parts trace mineral salt, 1 part each of mix-n-fine salt,  di-cal, and mineral meal.  Plus the grape stuff.  

 

I try a diff twist every year but the base formula stays same.  Sometimes will add some trophy rocks to the area.  Last year not much hitting minerals with drought and trying grape koolaid.  Year before was good when I shot a 147” 9pt that put on over 35 inches after hitting the minerals hard twice  a week from March through July.

I bought the cherry flavor when it was on sale. Worked pretty good to bring them in. Poured a little over corn when I put it out. Coons love it 😀
