Many year's ago i went to a farm in  Wantage to ask permission to hunt. The farmer came to the door and a second later his dog came out carrying a deer's hind leg. lol  needless to say he still gave me permission to hunt.  Roon you are out there.

I know a person who was sleeping on the couch in his home. He was awakened by a raccoon biting on his toe which came in through the doggy door. Startled he jumped up and grabbed a bat that was in the room and beat it to death. It tested positive for rabies

I will never have a dog without a doggy door.

Best world for you and them if property allows

Not a complete a$$ hole just one of the dingle berries that hang off it.

Yup, we have one,  but we close it at night cuz the raccoons can't read and they think it's a raccoon door.

Before we got the doggie door we would just leave the back door open so the dog could come and go as she pleased.  But the bears thought that that was an open invitation and they would come in and poke around the kitchen looking for some goodies.

Same for us. Ours is the removeable sliding glass door panel type.

You guys install yours through the wall? I'm thinking of it. (Labrador Retriever size)

I put the extreme weather one in back door. It has an outer and inner flap as well as an insulation flap in the middle.

It's open 24/7 for them. It's nice to hear them go down the stairs and out in the middle of the night knowing you don't need to get up.

We've left them alone for eight days already with my parents coming to feed them once a day.
