  • Rusty changed the title to Stud Button or Tiny Yearling?

Button bucks can and do grow hard antlers under the right conditions.  The farmer next to my cousin's place left his corn standing through the winter for 5 or 6 years in a row, and the deer got fat and happy.  Many of the buck fawns grew small spikes and the yearling bucks looked like 2 -3 year olds.

The past 2 winters here have been extremely mild and we have had bumper acorn crops.  In addition there has been an unlimited supply of corn available from all the baiting.  The deer are fat and showing their full potential.   I would not be surprised if he was last year's fawn.

Over the years the US has sent many of its fine young men & women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return, is enough to bury those that did not return. COLIN POWELL
