Took these pics during a bow hunt this past fall while hunting a ghost.  Literally amazes me the number of black squirrels where I hunt. During one recent bow hunt, I counted no less than a dozen together.  In a few spots, they outnumber the greys.  This melanistic subgroup of squirrels is gorgeous.

A buddy wanted one to have mounted for his den so I took one for him several years ago.

**Also if anyone on W&W remembers one of the BEST people I have ever had the opportunity to meet and  know...........Stevo.

Steve always wanted to have a rug made from one.  Several years ago, I provided one to Jay- @JerseyJaysTaxidermy and we presented it to him at Jack's- @JHbowhunterplace during a W&W get together/"Man Stuff Day" before he passed away......**

Will try to find the thread. If anyone locates it before I do, please attach it to this.

Disregard. Found it....Attached below...

I had a lease in Princeton years ago where I deer hunted.  That property had a bunch of black squirrels.  Other than the same one I see in a turkey spot I hunt in pine island NY, these are the only black squirrels I ever seen.  Definitely really cool to see.  Crazy how many in your spot Lou, that’s really awesome

The only one I’ve ever seen in nj was right across the road from Buck Hill Brewery. Amazing how many are in your spot Lou.
I did see this mink last fall a long way from water.

Tad, is the mink in the video. You sure it's not a squirrel?

Yeah, I watched him for awhile in my binoculars and it was definitely a mink. Then I googled if mink climb trees and they do. He was a half a mile from the musconetcong
