You might want to move the white Bar near halfway.

This has happened  to me down in Tennessee, New York,Pennsylvania, and in New Jersey in the last 35 Springs on Public Lands.  My Brother in Law- Mark was down in Sterling  Forest and a Gobbler was making his way to him on a Woodsroad. At a curved area of the Woodsroad and about 50 yards out and just out of sight- another Guy who did no calling sneaked in the middle and shot the Gobbler and was gone within 1 Minute with the Bird. It Happens.

Happened to me on state land in hunterdon county i was on one side of a hedgehog and the bird was in the other feild on the other side, call him all the way across thay field and he was getting ready to come through the hedgrow it sounded like when a shot rang out and pellets came ripping right past me, after a couple seconds after I made sure I wasn't hit because they were that close I came through the hedgerow to a pile of feathers and bushes moving from the guy running away up to the old train tracks above me.  He must have parked up there and snuck down when he heard the bird.  He never made a call I've never been more pissed but thankful I was alright.  It's amazing what some people are willing to do just for a bird.

I had birds roosted near a road and got in early.  Two Jake's landed in my deck the long beard flew over me and landed between me n the road.   Guy shot from the road and I took most of the load in my back about 80 yrds hurt like all hell.  Thank God none broke skin.  Called warden but they never caught him

Yeah. I had it happen to me on public land in Hunterdon County. Opening day a couple years ago. I was set up on a bird I had put to bed the night before. Got there super early. Guy comes strolling in on this bird gobbling on the roost. I’m already set up. He basically walks right up to me after walking past my truck. I wave him off. He walks off. Bird hits the ground, coming my way. He needs to clear some brush and BOOM. Scared the heck outta me. I thought there was only one way in and one way out. I waited at the road for the tool bag. But he never came out. To this day I still don’t know where he disappeared to. I didn’t want to walk up on a guy that has that type of disrespect and disregard for safety.

I hunt a lot of high pressure areas and last year had it happen twice. Once I talked to the guy and he didn’t even know I was calling he thought he just got luck and got between a hen and a gobbler and the second time I was working a bird from a far distance and the guy cut in somewhere between me and the bird and shot at him (he missed)

A few years back in Passaic  County,I had 2 Gobblers coming my way on Opening Day through the Hardwoods. Never saw them. They were getting closer as,I called.  2 Magnum shots a good 60 yards out. The other guy never called. I had my Safety  Off and was positioned  perfectly.  What can you do. Guy disappeared fast.

Good thing he missed. That 2nd time- he knew you were there. Probably  the 1st as well.

Thats a two way street, sometimes it happens to you and sometimes it happens to the other guy.

It happened to me a couple yrs ago. I hunt atsion for deer and I started seeing turkeys again. Haven’t seen them there since I was a young kid. So I got my turkey permit . I found where they were roosting .  I go to hunt. Get out of my truck. I shut my truck door and they start gobbling. Made my way to blind. I start calling and I had one gobbling and getting closer. I never saw the bird but he was coming in closer. Then I hear two shots . Scared the hell out of me . No more gobbling. Had no idea someone else was there. I never heard them calling at all.
