Insane Day on the Ice

nmc02 invited myself and Sudsy to do some ice fishing. He said it was going to be good but I never thought it would be this good. Flags flying all day…mega perch, crappie, bass and pickerel. Thank Nick for a great day. One for the books!

Great time today, great bunch of guys. First time ever ice fishing and after a day like this I may be ruined  for anything down around me (Monmouth Cnty) and FWIW the fish were all bigger then they look in the photos, some real slobs.

Just finished filleting up a pile o fish a few minutes ago, looking forward to breaking out the deep fryer tomorrow. Yellow perch is a rare and special thing for me and I'm really looking forward to it ! (won't eat anything out of the nasty arse lakes down here)

Anyone have a good hushpuppy recipe ?
