I shot there a lot . Jimmy sponsored me from 1976 until he sold it to Donny Y .., and it became bowhunters outpost .

Can still picture Ol Bob sitting behind the counter tying flies. Couldn’t believe when it closed.  I think he moved to Florida. Had one in Red Bank too.

always had a pipe in his mouth, had a store for a short time on rt. 35 (Eatontown or ocean twp.) plus the red bank store

first outdoor/ sporting goods store for me, was the local hardware store, guns, shells, traps, to kick it up a notch, boots, hunting vest, coat, pants, etc, you would go to Sears

What was that building before it was Ray's? The way the second floor goes around the perimeter like that?

My first shop was Ross Sport Shop in Elizabeth. Long gone.
