For those who took shotgun test but not rifle years ago

Long story short 20 years ago I only took bow and shotgun for hunter ed. Now it’s “firearms” class that includes shotgun,rifle,muzzy.  I want to get my rifle permit to try for Fox/yotes and am looking to take the trapping test this year.  I emailed the state and asked how I would go about this seeing as I already have my shotgun license. I was told I just have to take the online class/test at home and email them my voucher of completion and I don’t need to show up to a field exam since I technically did that years ago. Well I completed it within the past day on my computer and phone. You can start and stop whenever, it saves your place. I emailed them proof and am waiting back to hear when I can purchase a rifle permit.  So if anyone is in the same boat it’s pretty painless.  I’ll post when I am able to access the rifle permit to purchases.

I did the same thing a few years ago.  They took care of it in a day.

I was pleasantly surprised when they told me this.  They also emailed me back with an answer next day.  Finally this state does something the smart and efficient way.

What email address did you use and what did you have to send them. I did the online test also just to get my rifle permit at the time everything was closed because of Covid. I can still access the testing site but I don’t see any way to send them proof.

I was told to send the voucher. I screen shot the print your voucher at home

Update: like some have mentioned they accepted my results within the day.  I received an email that they updated my profile to be able to purchase a rifle/muzzleloader license.
